Kyra minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born August 19 1965 is an American actress. She also works as an actor and producer. Her starring role in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most popular. For her portrayal of Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The seventh season of the show was concluded on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's film appearances include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Solos (1992), Heart and Souls (93), Phenomenon (2000), What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The actress also appeared in The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald who was Speech and Family Therapist, and Henry Dwight Sedgwick IV, a venture capitalist. Her birthplace was in New York City. Her mother was Jewish and her father was an Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English heritage. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and has stated that she is a member of Passover seders.
